MANIFESTO of Candidates of the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement
On Sunday, 6 December 2020, our country will take a decisive step in its historic march towards its fulfilment, by completing the establishment of the institutions of decentralization as provided for in the Constitution of 18 January 1996.
Indeed, the Regional Councils, whose members will be elected during the election of 6 December 2020, will complete the institutional architecture dedicated to decentralization which, beyond the socio-economic stakes, has also been proposed, since the Major National Dialogue, as one of the modalities for a return to lasting peace in the North-West, South-West and Far North Regions.
Invested to defend the colours of the Party during this important event, the candidates of the Cameroon People’s Democratic Movement (CPDM) are men, young men and women with a passion for their lands and their Regions.
They take full measure of the stakes and expectations of the 6 December 2020 election.
They are perfectly equipped to realize the dream of President Paul BIYA and all our compatriots, enshrined in the Constitution of January 1996 in a spirit of national communion, that of making decentralization the adjuvant par excellence of development, democracy, freedom and, ultimately, the achievement of individual and collective happiness of all Cameroonians.
Dear compatriots Municipal Councillors,
You constitute the Electoral College for the election of Regional Councillors, divisional delegates, on 6 December 2020.
It is an historic honour and privilege.
We hereby invite you to vote without hesitation for the CPDM lists throughout the national territory.
